What to expect

The Thrive Tri-State Summit presented by TVA will offer participants two full days of enrichment, education, and experiences with keynote speakers, panels, subject matter experts, and fellow community members from across the region.

Participants will have access to valuable resource tools and strategies that Thrive has designed to empower individuals as they drive decision making and goal setting within their own community, based on their unique experiences, telling their stories with their own voices.

Thrive’s data tools include freight and transportation, broadband, cultural assets and conservation dashboards.

Join us to gain valuable insights on how others in our region are leveraging these tools through conversation, connection, and collaboration to guide decision making on designing their community’s future.

Keynote Speakers

Gayle Manchin

Federal Co-Chair of the Appalachian Regional Commission

Manchin collaborates with 13 member governors to build greater community capacity and strengthen economic growth throughout Appalachia, which increases the region’s ability to compete nationally and globally. As ARC Federal Co-Chair, her top priorities are to support the creation of greater economic opportunities in the Appalachian Region through a cross-regional, multi-state approach.

Dar Williams

Singer-Songwriter, Urban-Planning Expert, Educator, Artist, & Author

Dubbed by The New Yorker as “one of America's very best singer-songwriters,” Dar Williams has made her career not in stadiums, but touring America's small towns.

Her book What I Found in a Thousand Towns is more than a love letter to America's small towns, it's a deeply personal and hopeful message about the potential of America's lively and resilient communities.

CONNECTING IN CATOOSA COUNTY

Thanks to the generous hospitality of the Catoosa County Chamber of Commerce, the Thrive Tri-State Summit will be held in Ringgold, Georgia at the Colonnade.

Catoosa County is one of 16 counties within the tri-state Thrive Region, which proudly includes four other Georgia counties, two Alabama counties, and nine Tennessee counties.

Fondly known as the “Gateway to Georgia” Catoosa County is filled with historical sites, extensive outdoor recreation opportunities, and a rich cultural heritage throughout Ringgold and Fort Oglethorpe.

FUN FACT: It is believed the word Catoosa is a Cherokee word meaning up on the hill or between two hills.
