Microsoft and NDIA share scorecard to assess digital equity by state

As basic internet access and digital skills become critical to economic success and quality of life, state governments continue to find a role in addressing the challenge. This tool tracks their progress.

At the latest Regional Broadband Alliance meeting, the National Digital Inclusion Alliance (NDIA) and Microsoft shared their new State Digital Equity Scorecards, a tool that shows the extent to which states are addressing digital equity.

To better understand broadband assets in our region, our student research team with the Sewanee Summer DataLab presented their final project - a geospatial web application that juxtaposes broadband availability and usage, and identifies key assets, such as libraries, in addressing the digital divide.
