Bill Kilbride and his family have called Chattanooga home for the last 26 years.  During his term as President and CEO of the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce, Bill promoted everything that this innovative and collaborative southern city has to offer.  Passionate about the growth and success of Chattanooga, Bill sought to further increase the region’s viability with a focus on education and workforce readiness.  Bill retired from the Chamber at year-end 2017.

Prior to his role with the Chamber, Bill served as president of the Home Division of Mohawk Industries where he was responsible for all segments of manufacturing, product development, sales and administration of this division.  Throughout his tenure at Mohawk, Bill participated in 16 acquisitions by Mohawk Industries and expanded its global presence by opening offices in India and China.  Bill retired from Mohawk Industries after 22 years in mid 2014.

A native New Yorker, Bill began his career working with several national banks in New York City, serving each in various roles of bank operations and credit functions.  He later moved into the securities industry with roles at the New York Stock Exchange and subsequently a large national brokerage firm where he was engaged in that corporation’s planning functions.

Bill and his wife continue to live in Chattanooga.
